A true original, the 57 is a bridge humbucker pickup designed for today’s guitar player regardless of style or genre. The unique combination of Alnico V magnets and steel pole pieces evoke an unmistakably PAF quality in its tone. The active attributes provide the headroom and punch necessary to deliver unparalleled definition and presence.

The 66 is a result of pickup design innovation inspired by the specific needs and requests of today’s players. Alnico V magnets provide the warm, smooth mid-range and expansive lows while the ceramic pole pieces bring out the clarity in the upper register.

Designed and voiced specifically as neck and bridge pickup, the 57 & 66 humbuckers come in EMG’s exclusive brushed steel, gold, chrome, black chrome or back cap giving it a sleek modern look that compliments any instrument. A completely solderless installation makes this pickup set easy to install all on your own.

F***ing amazing!

Marvin Sabo /Reviewed 2/4/2016

I tried several Di Marzios, Duncan and EMG pickups to find my tone.... Spend a lot of money for them and i never found "the right way to go"...
Now i found the perfect sound for me. Thanks to Richie Faulkner for showing me these pickups on EMG TV. Sounds amazing! Respect for the unbelievable work on the 57/66 Set. Love it!

Best EMGs yet!

Don /Reviewed 12/2/2015

I've tried numerous EMGs in the past yet were never really happy with them. They always seemed to leave me uninspired and were just too smooth sounding...but this set is another story! I have an LTD EC-1000FR that I bought used with a set of SD Slash pickups in it. They weren't right for the guitar at all, so after reading reviews and watching several videos, I thought I'd give the 57/66 set a try. These blew me away!!! They actually saved me from selling this guitar! It's really the best of both worlds. The midrange crunch and dynamics of a hot passive pickup as well as the best cleans I've heard from any of my guitars. Even with high gain settings, they still maintain a decent amount of definition while introducing rich harmonics. I'm sold on these! EMG has hit a homerun with these as far as I'm concerned!

Great Humbuckers

Matt /Reviewed 3/18/2015

I don't play metal and my favorite pickups are single coil G&L MFD's. I decided to try these out due to the online reviews and I had an LP Studio that I couldn't find any humbuckers I yet liked in it. I put these in, and I love em, and now its like I have a new guitar to play. It is all about the 66 in the neck, I get a great range of sound with it, you can roll off the volume knob without much loss in volume, just less gain, the 66 is full and dynamic, lots of midst. The 57 is pretty good too, but so far I only use it when I need more gain than the 66 puts out. I highly recommend these pickups, even if you are not a metal-head.

BEST PICKUPS EVER!

Scott /Reviewed 3/16/2015

I put these in my Gibson Les Paul. The sound of the 57 & the 66 is pure sweetness. These have a perfect blend of attack, responsiveness, range, & tone. They complement my Mesa Boogie & my Gibson. I will be replacing the DiMarzio Tone Zone & FRED in my Epiphone Les Paul with these EMGs as well. Read the above reviews. I agree with all them.

Sweet tone

Joss /Reviewed 12/26/2014

I got these Pups in my new Aristides 060 AxE. Used 81/85 combo before in other guitars but it was too clinical soundness for me. This combo blew me away. It has the output of a true EMG but also warm and responsive like traditional pickups. Love them!!

Amazing pickups

Francisco /Reviewed 11/11/2014

I recently purchased these pickups for an Epiphone Les Paul Plus Top Pro Standard, and I couldn't be happier! I honestly didn't expect a big sound difference, but there was. It sounds way better. I love these pickups and I love EMG! Plus they were very easy to install, even though this is my first time changing pickups. I love these pickups!

Awesome Customer Service.

Sylwester /Reviewed 10/7/2014

I just received my order of EMG 57/66 In the mail yesterday, and I was excited to install them. They come stock with Short Shafted pots, but my Les Paul Asks for Long shafted. I Emailed Rick Hunt from the Tech support at EMG, and he will be sending me out the long shaft pots free of charge! I'm really happy EMG takes care of their customer!

I haven't installed the Pick ups yet, but I will review once I do!

Great

Ben /Reviewed 8/3/2014

Really a great set from EMG. I've had the 81/85 combo and have an 81/60 set that I am replacing so both my Les Pauls have these pickup sets installed. Really great hot paf tone with a great lead tone. The 66 has the best neck pickup tone out of all the EMG's that I've used. Most importantly these things don't sound sterile.

57/66 Love

James /Reviewed 8/1/2014

I have long been a fan of passive boutique humbuckering PUs. I tried an EMG 81/85 set at one time. Did not like. Sounded like icepicks to me. I saw a demo of this set on Youtube so I thought I'd give them a try. I installed this 57/66 set in an old PRS. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about these pickups. Great sounding and great for home recording since they are noiseless.

2 words: Holy S***!

DAMIEN666 /Reviewed 5/3/2014

I've been using EMGs for a few years now and mostly been using the 81+85. And I've tried other pickups as well but always went back to EMGs. Problems I personally had was that with the 81 in my bridge, it had a tight low end but not full enough and the mid-range wasn't as pronounced as I liked. So, easy, I just swapped to the 85 in my bridge. But the 85's bass response was a bit too much and there's was hardly any mids present. I was swapping them back and forth until one day EMG came out with these 57+66 set, so I decided to try them out and they were exactly what I was looking for! the 57 is tight but full and punchy with a nice throaty mid-range that I like, and the 66 is so full and clear. I especially like the 57 because, no matter the height of the pickup, I can hear ALL the strings ring out when I play a complex chord, sustain is wonderful, cuts through a mix and live very nicely, and to sum it up, they just look badass! got them in my Ibanez Iron Label RG and the look of a black guitar with brushed chrome pickups is really eye-catching (to me anyways). So try them out! you'll be surprised.
