Kirk Hammett has been ripping up solos for Metallica for over 30 years. Riffs on Ride the Lighting, Master of Puppets, and the Black Album are a must learn for all rock guitarists. The Kirk Hammett Bone Breaker set is the result of taking the success of Metallica tone and adding some new elements without sacrificing gain for clean or vice-versa. By making slight pre-amp adjustments and combining Alnico 5 and Ceramic magnets the perfect tone-beast was created. The Bone Breaker set consist of the BB-B Ceramic bridge and the BB-N Alnico 5 neck pickups. If you are looking for rhythm or lead tone, the Kirk Hammett Bone Breaker set offers crisp crushing leads or smooth rounded rhythm tone at the flip of the selector switch.

Sweeeeeet!!!Put these along with a SA in an LTD M250 H-S-H guitar I've had since '98. I added an extra tone pot like Kirk Hammett's original ESP M2. This guitar sounds and feels like a brand new guitar. Can't wait to start recording with it again.

Best pickup choice periodI replaced these into a viper 1000 that had the 81/85 combo, these are a deep rich clean tone and with overdrive on they really scream, even thou I’ve always liked 81/85 for a harder sound these are even better, give them a try, you want regret it

First active pickups and a great first impressionI bought the limited edition with the KH initials on the pickups for a left handed Squier contemporary series HH guitar. These are my first active pickups. Now I get it! The install was fine but the Squier required some adjustments to fit the output jack. Gotta pickup the Sound and Fury.

Pretty damn good!I installed these in an LTD M-200 that had an 81/85 combo with a conventional wiring setup - the EMG solderless install was VERY easy, although the parts list showed a stereo jack that mine didn't have. Luckily, I was able to de-solder the connections on the old jack and use it. The difference in tone was noticeable, and the clarity was what I expect from EMG. Overall, a great set to upgrade any axe with!,

Awesome!The bridge sounds like a cleaner 81. Very hard to notice a difference. The neck pickup is sweet! Tight and warm but not muddy. Definitely a nice edition to the EMG lineup.

New emg bone breaker comboI just recently purchased the Ltd KH purple sparkle with these emg’s and they are out of this world. If you want the best of the best you must get a set of these.

Bone Breakers are awesome.I upgraded one of my main axes that had a 81-85 with these bonebreakers. I gotta say this KH-BB set sounds great. Pickups have great tone fon clean or distortion.
When playing with distortion your guitar will have cojones with these set while it also maintains a great sustain and cleaness.

FantasticI replaced an 81/60 combo in an LTD EC-1000 with the KH-BBs and they sound absolutely fantastic. The guitar is tuned to drop C and the pickups give every note a clarity that I felt was somewhat lacking with the 81/60 combo in the downtuned guitar. Highly recommend the KH-BBs.

More defined than the 80/60 Set!Awesome neck pickup! Much improved from the 60! The bridge pickup absolutely screams! Piece of cake to install with the solder less connections! Once again EMG does it again!
