Joseph Vilane is the Lead/rhythm guitarist and a founding member of the rock/metal band Queen Dementia. His band offers a sound that's aggressively passionate, soulful and intelligent, yet beautiful. Queen Dementia successfully synthesizes various aspects of psychology, the human condition and emotion into an abstract, comprehensible musical format that will often catch you off guard.
Formed in 2010, Queen Dementia has been mentioned in the same breath of such acts as Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, Evanescence and Nightwish. The trio has since rocked audiences, participating in notable shows including a supporting slot for heavy hitters OTEP, Nightwish, Amaranthe, Butcher Babies, One-Eyed Doll and Mushroomhead.
Joseph Vilane primarily uses Schecter Damien Elite 7 string style guitars with Neck Pickup (EMG 85-7 Humbucker) and Bridge Pickup (EMG 81-7 Humbucker.) Joseph also plays Ibanez RG8 string guitars with EMG 808 pickups. EMG pickups have been and will continue to be a cornerstone of Joseph's signature sound
