Yvette Young

Yvette Young was raised in a household that emphasized classical music. She started piano at age 4 and violin at age 7, eventually competing in international piano competitions and touring with 2 different orchestras. However, Yvette wasn’t content being confined to just the classical music world, so she decided to explore the world of guitar. She taught herself how to play the acoustic guitar first and wrote songs throughout college, which culminated into her first release – a 5 song acoustic ep. Yvette began to play more on electric guitar recently, and now plays a Strandberg Boden 7 string equipped with the 57/66 set from EMG pickups, which she found was best fit for her style (which incorporates primarily finger picking and tapping). She is currently working with her band Covet to release material and potentially tour, and also working on more acoustic and piano music. In her spare time, Yvette takes care of birds, teaches art to kids, and also produces drawings and paintings of her own. Yvette takes most of her inspiration from nature.
