Jon Reshard/ Vigilant
With the record player always being on more than the t.v., Jon Reshard was exposed to all kinds of music and dug into everything he heard from an early age. That makes it no surprise that by age 15, he recorded a drum and bass album with drum phenom Tony Royster Jr.(some of which was even transcribed by Bass Player Magazine). This was followed by a Guitar Center Clinic tour by the duo. By age 18, he began working with Shrapnel guitar artist Greg Howe, recording Soundproof and touring Europe in support of the album.
Jon has been featured multiple times in every U.S. and many international bass publications. He has performed at various European bass events and produced his own instrumental album in 2008 featuring Greg Howe, and drummer Dave Weckl, which led to a call from Prince to record and do some jamming.
He has also worked with other bands such as Elixir On Mute, and The Memorials-founded by drum prodigy Thomas Pridgen(ex-The Mars Volta), joining them on a 2 month U.S. tour in support of their debut album, The Memorials.
2011, Jon and singer Chloe Pappas formed the band VIGILANT, and have been working on new material using basses made by Roberts Custom Guitars, EMG PJ’s and EMG 35PX's.
