Josh McDowell/ Crooked X
EMG pickups would like to welcome rock’s next generation, Forrest French, Jesse Cooper, and Josh McDowell of Crooked X. These 15-year-old musicians have a Metallica/Zeppelin inspired sound with the heaviness and stage show of seasoned rockers far beyond their years. Their incredible talent has kept them busy...here's whats new!
The band's self-titled debut CD release on January 27th perfectly coincided with the national MTV broadcast of the half hour special Rock 'N Roll Dream at midnight that same day. Rock 'N Roll Dream (also the title of the group's first single) is exclusively dedicated to Crooked X, and the band's pursuit of their very own "Rock 'N Roll Dream," which, thus far, is unfolding in a big way, not only in the United States but around the world.
After a week in Los Angeles that included performances at the Grammy Museum, The Viper Room, the Mark & Brian show on KLOS, the Fender Stage at NAMM, and of course, the smokin' two song performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Crooked X has much to celebrate. The timing couldn't be better for this phenomenal new rock band!
Forrest and Jesse both play the EMG 81/85 combo and Josh plays The EMG J Set and when asked what they thought about coming on board with EMG, exclaimed as only 15-year-olds can, “Dude, we’re stoked!”
