Converge is a four piece hardcore/metal band from Boston, Massachusetts, that since 1991 has been pushing the sonic boundaries of the genre and building a cult like underground following. Kurt Ballou is the guitarist and main songwriter for the band and also runs Godcity Studios where he produces and records hardcore, punk and metal bands from all over the world. Most recently he has been working on the production of Converge’s new album which will be out soon on Epitaph Records. His pickups of choice are the EMG-85/EMG-60 combo because they “Give me crunch when I need it!”
