Based off the popular EMG 81, the 81-7XH utilizes powerful ceramic magnets and close aperture coils to produce a detailed tone with incredible amounts of high end cut, and fluid sustain. Paired with EMG's X series preamp,the 81-7XH humbucker pickup effectively bridges the gap between passive and active touch sensitivity and tone. Traditionally used in the bridge position of your seven string guitar, this pickup will make your leads slice right through even the densest mix. Available in chrome, brushed chrome, gold, brushed gold, black chrome, and brushed black chrome. After using EMG's solderless wiring installation, you'll want it in all your guitars.

Very Nice!First of all, I must compliment EMG for its super quick Service. Ordered on Tuesday, got my pickups on the following Tuesday (I live in Germany).
This Pickup is really awesome. Bought it in the Brushed Black Chrome Cap Color and it just looks amazing.
I did the Installation by myself, an it was just as easy as always. Everyone could do this, thanks to the solderless system.
The Sound is exactly as I expected it, as I already have built in the 6-String Version of this Humbucker in two of my other guitars. Just flawlessly heavy! Just my favourite Sound of all pickups.
