The BTS Control is a 2-band equalizer for Bass guitar. The BTS features single-pole filters for broadband equalization. Often the broader single-pole filters are preferred for musical instruments because they are less selective, easier on the ear, and sound more “musical”.
One of the features of the BTS Control is a 2-position dip-switch that controls the slope of the high frequency response. By choosing one of the four combinations the high frequency response can be tailored to your liking (see PDF instructions below for EQ curves). The BTS Control has a high input impedance and can be used with active or passive pickups. Bass and Treble controls are mounted on separate potentiometers and knobs are included.

BTS controlI use the EMG electronics as replacements for the electronics in my mid 90's Carvin LB75 five string bass.
I use the EMG BTS control with my EMG Jazz pickups.
I set up with each pickup with its own volume control. The BTS adds plenty to tone range. Plenty of bass and treble. Lots of headroom. Lots of output. Clean, clear lows. Even in the higher registers.
The "B" string comes through very potently without being overwhelming.
I have EMG pickups in some of my other basses.
