The PA2 is a boost preamp you can mount to your guitar and turn on/off via on a minitoggle switch. It's the perfect solution if you want to increase your instrument's overall volume for solos or push an amp on the edge of breakup into overdrive. It has a trim pot so you can preset the amount of boost you want up to 20 dB.

wow, the bass boostincredible bass boost, this doesn't only work good for guitar. I installed it on an ibanez atk bass with a bqs equalizer and an mmcsx pickup, instructions were super easy to follow and I only had to solder 3 wires on the jack. even though I'm a welder, I don't like soldering such small wires. emg is the king of diy. emg really brought my bass to life

Worked great to add variation to a single PU guitarInstalled this to a single 81 equipped superstrat I built. Boost is clear and transparent, and worked perfectly for the intended purpose.

Perfect BoostInstalled a PA2 in my DiPinto Galaxie IV guitar. Used it as a booster to pump up for lead riffs. It works great ! Thanks EMG for manufacturing such a item.

EMG PA2 paired with Kent Armstrong’s in my Custom Shop LOLAI own three First Act Custom Shop guitars. Two LOLAs and a DELIA. My favorite of the two LOLA’s have his circuit in it. The higher boost setting drive the amp like a blues driver pedal. Not as subtle as the lower body setting but certainly useful! This is one of the best guitars I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned some great JACKSON Custom Shop and Gibson Custom Shop Guitars. If you build guitars or are keen on modding your instruments this circuit is an awesome addition hooked up to a push/pull knob. Easier to manage than a boost pedal. Easier to engage than a pedal (do it straight from your guitar) and sounds awesome. I love this circuit!!
