Available as a separate units, the LJV (long) and SJV (short) are the two pickups in our JV Set, the LJV usually located in the bridge position and the SJV located in the neck. The EMG JV Set is a mixture of old and new, utilizing traditional exposed pole pieces and EMG's active circuitry.
Developed to deliver the classic tone and look of a vintage Jazz Bass without the noise often associated with vintage passive pickups. This pickup maintains the "faded" attack of the offset pole pieces that many players prefer in combination with our lowest noise preamp. The JV Set will appeal to the player looking for a "retro" vibe with the active tone and response of an EMG.
Make sure to check the instructions for pickup measurements before purchasing to compare your existing pickups with EMG models.
All EMG Pickups are built to order. Estimated shipping is between 7-14 business days.

LJV SPANKS!I had the EMG PJ set for 20 years, never liked the ceramic J. Upgraded to PA/LJV - incredible sound with much more warmth and quack. I am not the biggest fan of the quick connect system - it is easy, but the amount of real estate it takes up in the control cavity is unfortunate considering you need to make room for a 9v as well. I could not recommend the LJV enough. I now use both pickups in my PJ bass and it has so many more useable sound options.
