This passive pickup set created for guitarist, songwriter and producer Prashant Aswani. The Revelation Set spent 2+ years in development that included testing in both recording and live playing sessions. After several variations EMG had designed an undeniably brilliant pair of humbuckers that delivered the clarity and definition usually found only in active pickups.

This matched set has precision wound custom bobbins and alnico 2 magnets that create the perfect balance between neck and bridge positions. The alnico 2 magnets have just enough “give” to deliver that classic sponginess passive players crave without the muddiness usually associated with old school PAF-types. Aswani is known for his amazing style and tone and now has the perfect pickups to help him deliver every time.

Make sure to check the instructions for pickup measurements before purchasing to compare your existing pickups with EMG models.

All EMG Pickups are built to order. Estimated shipping is between 7-14 business days.

Killer pups. All the other reviews are pretty much what I'm hearing and feeling with this set in a PRS S2 Standard. Only pickups I've liked in the guitar after trying 5-6 different sets, both active and passive, from various major brands. Stand out qualities are the note articulation and definition in both playing fast single note runs and full open chords in a high gain setting. Have a controlled bottom end while still allowing lower frequencies to bloom in a very pleasing way. Actually find the low mids to be a bit scooped (helps the pickups from sounding muddy) but what everyone else is saying about the mids is spot on, but specifically an upper mid range thing. Clean sounds are pretty in line with other EMG pups (love or hate) but certainly better than say an 81 in the bridge.

I bought these originally for a project that didn’t pan out. I was intrigued by the reviews. I kept the pickups until the right thing came along, an older ESP Eclipse with the Les Paul specs. These sound like an active version of the pickups in my Caparison, which I love. It’s official, never getting rid of the ESP or these pickups. Going to find a way to work these into my other guitars. If only there was a single/hum version ;)

I have the REV set in all of my electric guitars and even recommended friends of mine to install them in their guitars. They are fantastic pickups, have a warmth and sponginess to them that is difficult to describe. Makes me want to play more and works in any situation. Whether that be praise and worship style playing, heavy rock and metal, blues, jazz, they just work and sound/feel fantastic. Closest set they sound like are 57 Classic Plus pickups that Gibson make, but are way less muddy, have a lot more articulation and punch. The REV Pickups have made me an EMG fan for life

These pickups are must have. Yes, they will work with an ES335. I installed a set in a Gibson inspired Epiphone ES335. Yes it is a pain to install pickickups and electronics in a 335 guitar but there are rewards for doing it. This Revelation set will make you a believer real fast. The tone is like nothing else and its all good. I have other guitars that use EMG pickups. EMG makes something for every tone you can think of. You need to get a set of these pickups. In a 335 you are going to love what they do.

Stop me if you've heard this, but hot damn are these pickups awesome. I have installed them in three of my guitars, a les paul mod project, a Gibson SG and a Fender HH Jazzmaster. What folks are saying about the clarity, sponginess and punch/sustain is all true. I have never played a set of pickups that has floored me like this set and I hope and pray that EMG never stop making these pickups. I even installed them on a friends guitar for him and it's not become his number 1 guitar. I primarily play worship gigs across the Baltimore/DC/Northern VA area and all my guitars with these pickups can cover any sonic territory. From screaming leads, Ambient cleans to the occasional belligerent metal riffs I do during sound check, I cannot point to a single pickup I've played that has made me smile more!

Hands down the best set of pickups I've ever played. There is something wonderful about the midrange in these pickups that make them addicting to play. The cleans are open and expressive, hitting some overdrive the pickup gets that unmistakable EMG Tightness but again, with this mid range that makes it so fun and addicting. The pickups I feel just wants to work with me. I can play rhythms or leads in any position and be extremely pleased with the sound. I've played so many pickups, from all the big boy companies too but this set hands down are the best I've ever played. Highly recommend picking up these bad boys.

Let me start by saying that I have played EMG 81/85's for years that I absolutely love!! I am a huge Judas Priest/Richie Faulkner fan so once I learned about the 57/66 set, I tried those and was immediately blown away!! I am someone that prefers not to have to worry about 9v batteries going dead since my band plays for 3-4 hours at a time. So I started looking for a passive EMG that I could swap out with the 57/66 set but wanted to retain a very similar sound.

I originally switched to the H4/H4A combo which I really loved but they was a certain muddiness about them and you cannot adjust the pole pieces on that set which made a difference in their sound to me.

Then I came across the Revelation Set after seeing Jordan Ziff (RATT) using/endorsing them and OH MY GOD. These are the absolute best pick-ups I have ever heard and it's not even close!! I have played DiMarzio Super Distortions, Evolutions I/II's, EMG 81/85, 57/66 and the Revelations smoked them all!!! I will say these sound very similar to the 57/66 set but with more articulation and more harmonic response. These pick-ups just absolutely scream and just drip with harmonic overtones, sustain, punch and clarity!!! I honestly could not be happier and am so glad I came across these pick-ups. I now have 3 sets and will never use another set of pick-ups at this point. These do everything I need for being in a classic rock cover band and I am never looking back.

EMG, please NEVER stop producing these pick-ups!! These are an absolute homerun and especially with them being solderless. The solderless system alone paired up with them being passive and not worrying about batteries going dead is just an unbeatable combo!!

THANK YOU EMG!!!! You have earned a lifelong customer just for this Revelation Set alone!!!!

I've played so many pickups, Gibsons, Duncans, Dimarzio's, PRS, Dragonfire just to name a few. I have never come across a set that has floored me the way the Revelation pickups have. It's a pickup set that I feel wants to work with me. Has a sponginess to it that is difficult to describe. It's vintage sounding with a modern feel. Can handle all the gains, but also give you smooth crunchy tones and warm cleans without being muddy. I put them on a budget Les Paul type guitar that I used as a mod platform, and hot damn, I have never gotten so many compliments from random people on my tone after a live set in almost ten years. The pickup set is so good, I am considering putting them in my Gibson SG as well. Can't recommend them enough. If you want that classic Slash/Page sound that can also go modern high gain, this is it.

I got these to replace the stock pickups in my Les Paul clone guitar. They sound awesome. I wish I would have measured the current pickup height before I removed the old ones. I ended up googling around and found a general recommendation. Loving the solderless system. I ended up buying a toggle switch and tone knobs as well. Since I had the whole thing opened up anyway. Having never done anything like this before, I went pretty slowly. The directions and diagrams were awesome. I got the wiring through, but it was very tedious and frustrating to pull it all through. Seems like it should be easier- but that's more of the guitar manufacturer. I didn't get any sound at first, b/c I had a connection reversed. I believe I ended up swapping connection from toggle to the hub board. The neck and bridge pickups were reversed on the toggle. Great tones. I would like to try the active pickups one day.

These Pups turned my Gibson LP into a different beast. While my guitar did sound good before, now, it has such a characteristic feel and thick full chords.

Even for heavier gain, the pickups cut and provide a beautiful clarity in the mix.
