So I had both the P91HZ and P92HZ installed in a Jazzmaster type guitar that Tagima made. Great value guitar, I just could not stand the 60 cycle hum associated with P90's. So I went and ordered these as a drop in replacement. I knew the P91HZ is basically an H4 but in a different housing, so I pretty much knew that the output was going to be pretty high. Was surprised with how clear and articulate the bridge pickup got. The tagima has a Varitone siwtch and it reacted really well to the H4. I could get shoegaze type tones, worship tones and when bypassed, screaming rock and metal tones. I know H4's have a reputation of being geared towards metal but this pickup gave me pretty much whatever I wanted tone wise. Install was super easy and it fit the P90 cavity on the guitar like a glove. The only real negative is that these aren't going to give you that P90 sound. It's a humbucker, granted, it's a very good humbucker, but it's not going give you that same bite and attack a true P90 will. I'm giving it five stars because if you know what you are getting with these pickups, they will be a treat to play. Easy install, great bang for the buck and super high quality.
