American Pro II set was OKish. Installed the T-52 and couldn't stop playing it! It is that good. Only feedback for EMG (hence my 3 stars of ease of install) would be to throw a foot of battery wire for the "just in case". There was no space on the control cavity for the battery and I had to place it on the spare pickup route. I had to splice and add about 8" of battery wire to finish the job.

Bottom line, if you're on the fence, just buy it. It is that good.

Great sound and easy to install. You also have the ability to add an SPC pot if you like, but will need an additional volume pot.

After 30+ years of using the original EMG Tele alnico I found the voicing of this set not to my liking, Not a fan of the bridge pickup, I could live with the neck sound, but straight up I think you guys got it right the first time. I also have a set of the original ceramic models that I prefer over the 52's. IMO the original Tele alnico neck is probably your best sounding unit. I have used EMG's in my stage Strat's and Tele's since the mid eighties.

I installed these pickups in my thinline with great ease thanks to the soderless system, and they sound amazing. So much clarity in each note, the pickups compliment each other beautifully, and they got the classical twang we all love without the annoying noise. My one criticism is they are kind of low output, but if you crank your amp a bit it's all good. 10/10!

Does what it says on the tin, and does away with all the things that are bad about telecaster pickups. The neck is particularly dynamic, something regular tele neck pickups lack completely. Well worth the switch.

Great set, easy install, had to file / sand the wood in cavity a bit (Fender Mexican Tele) to get battery and controls to fit. Pickups sound great! Nice, quiet and the clarity is there.

I hate 60 cycle hum in a Tele so I installed this T52 set in a knotty pine Tele. I love the tone these pickups produce. No ugly hum for me and all the tone and volume I crave. Everything a Tele can be. Try a set of these and you will like what they do.

These were well worth the "risk" in my opinion. I have dove deeper into EMG as of late, with each new venture I become less and less skeptical. While I do not think I will ever actually like EMG 81's, the T52 set is spectacular. I have an 89x/85x set as well, also monstrous. The 57/66TW set, again, spectacular. EMG's expansion efforts have won me over. The T52 set is worth its weight in gold and I'll be paying more attention to EMG's single coil game from here-on.

  9. The ONLY pickups for my Teles

I tried lots of different tele pickups then decided to go with an EMG T52 set. WHY did I not do it right the fist time? Good question. Chasing tone is a part of guitars and guitar playing. After using and trying so many guitars with different pickups, I found a lot of things about these EMG T52 pickups that I love right from the install.

With stock Tele pickups, I was always having to adjust the neck pickup so high to get a good tone out of it. Not so with the T52 set. I actually had to lower the neck pickup to balance out the volume between pickups. I like this about these pickups. You have all kinds of wiggle room to adjust to get what works for you to find the sweet spot that works for you.

YES, these pickups have the proper Tele sound. YES, you will have to install a 9 volt battery but not hard to shoehorn into the control cavity on a Tele. YES, you could install a battery box for the 9 volt if you really think you need to but not really needed. It's all what works for you.

If you are tired of all that 60 cycle single coil pickup hum and buzz that you get from single coil pickups and if you want sweet spots all through the range of tones then these are your pickups. No more shielding all those cavities. WHY? Because these pickups do not require it because of the way they are made. No more picking up radio stations through your Tele. No unwanted buzz that is really annoying on a gig and even worse in recording sessions. All good, all badass and NO UGLY.

Clean and powerful vintage tone and more. These are THE ONLY pickups for my Teles. I also use the EMG Geezer Butler PJ set in my P Bass. EMG took the great tone of the originals and refined that tone then added a lot more. I love what I hear coming though my amp. You might love what you hear by trying a set in your Tele. I know I do.
