The EMG solderless TKO kill switch is a momentary off (on) push button switch. The TKO requires a ½” (12.70mm) diameter mounting hole and comes with the necessary cables to easily connect to any EMG solderless pickup system. This requires adding a hole to your guitar so we recommend you have a qualified technician do the installation.

It works, but there are certainly better killswitches out there.This killswitch works, but it is certainly not the best killswitch on the market. If you’re looking to go absolutely nuts on the killswitch and tapping the button pretty fast, this killswitch isn’t for you. The button is pretty picky on how you press it. The button does kind of wiggle a bit, and if you don’t push it directly downward, it doesn’t kill the signal, making it nearly impossible to tap the button rapidly. Maybe someone else might like this killswitch, but it wasn’t for me.

almost perfectInstall is pretty simple, only thing to remember is you need to either bore out an existing hole to 1/2 inch or make a new one... but it doesn't come with long enough wires to allow comfortable placement for use on most contemporary guitars (pretty sure it only fits strat/tele or other front routed guitars), i had to order longer wires to fix the situation for $6, but they don't charge extra for a 15" or 21" over the 6.5" so theirs that, overall 4 out of 5 stars, just needs to come with longer wires out of the box.
