The ES-918 is an external 18 Volt power supply for EMG Pickups. If you have an instrument that doesn’t fit a battery or you don’t want to install a battery in your guitar, the ES-918 is perfect for you. You can easily power your EMG pickups with 9 or 18 volts using a stereo cable.
In addition to batteries, the ES-918 has the option of an external DC input for powering your guitar from an outlet or your power supply. A standby switch allows you to mute your instrument. Your guitar, battery, and external DC supply are all protected by a re-settable fuse in case the input/output are reversed. You will need a stereo cable (TRS to TRS) to run from your instrument to the ES-918 which is not included.

Works great. Gotta use a TRS cable!This was my only avenue trying to upgrade an old 90s Mexican Jazz bass with EMG pickups. No way I can squeeze a battery under that control plate. Be sure to use a TRS cable between your instrument and this ES-918 or it will not work.

Saved Hours of WorkI had no room in my Modulus Quantum V control cavity for 3 batteries and would have had to rout for a double battery box. That would have taken me several hours. Instead I installed a 9V jumper in the control cavity, purchased a TRS cable along with the ES-918 and I was up and running on 18V in minutes and man what headroom my J bass pickups and my BQC setup have now making it effortless to play!
