The Glenn Tipton signature pickups also known as the EMG GT Vengeance Set. Judas Priest, known for their massive guitar tones, inspired generations of metal fans and Glenn was the cornerstone of that sound. EMG pickups were the first Glenn used to gave him the unique ferocity, depth, and clarity that cut through audiences worldwide. Having played the EMG 81 for well over a decade, Glenn approached EMG for a few modifications to expand his iconic metal sound.
Always reaching for more, Glenn embarked on a five year journey that led him to his new signature GTV. This humbucker pickup set is unlike any other EMG in tone and feel. Using ceramic and steel magnets, the GTV maintains high output with a rich smoothness in the mid-range. With its tight attack, amazing clarity, and even response across the audio spectrum, the EMG GTV provides the knockout punch Glenn Tipton demands. This signature set is available in our classic black caps or EMG’s new red caps.

Awesome PickupsI had them installed in my SG custom and the guitar sounds crazy. It’s never sounded so good and I love it. I’m going to get a set for my Les Paul Standard. I definitely recommend these pickups.

Amazing Pickups!Amazing tone! It's unbelievable the clean tone I can get out of these pickups. Of course that only gets better with high gain. These pickups are, pardon the pun, Screaming for Vengeance!

Unbelievable!!!I have had these pickups for just over 3 weeks in my custom Strat build that I did. I am surprised with the loud low end with punch, and enough clarity and punch to ring through for leadwork. These things are everything they advertise and more. I love the classic 1970s and 80's tone and crunch of Priest, and these deliver with he real like tone and sound of Glenn Tipton himself, Absolutely AMAZING!

A Big SurpriseIm not a fan of the 81s at all and had my reservations about a set that was closely based off of their architecture. I bought this to replace a set of those terrible Fishman fluence pickups that seem to be everywhere these days. All I can come up with to describe the GTV set is "rage". These are angry, mean, destructive pickups. Im not sure if its just me but they have a LOT more bite than the regular 81 set, a lot more edge and have an almost icepick quality to them but with an equally pronounced mid and bottom. Im not really sure how thats possible, but there it is. This is now easily my favorite set, and I own a lot of EMG sets. Really blew me out of the water, was not expecting such a solid performance. 11/10 five stars all the way.

Exceeds my expectationJust fitted my GTV to a guitar that is nearly 40 years old wow new it has a new lease of life . Easy install it took longer to remove the old wiring and pickups . EMG ahave created a great pickup that has has an effortless installation . This product exceeds my expectations and I can’t wait to use my revitalised LP live .

Great Pickups!!!As soon as these became available I dropped a set in my Ibanez Prestige. They sound absolutely fantastic!! More bite than a regular 81/85 setup and a truly ripping tone. I highly recommend these to any metalheads out there, you won't be disappointed!! The red cap color looks great too!!
