  • Rich Ward – FOZZY, Stuck Mojo

Rich “The Duke” Ward is the creative force behind Stuck Mojo - one of the 90's most powerful and highly-regarded underground bands, since then Rich has collaborated with WWE Superstar Chris Jericho (vocals) to form the heavy metal band “Fozzy” and just released their 5th studio album “Chasing The Grail” on Roit! Records. Rich uses the EMG 81 and 60 in original and X series versions with the PA2 boost.

“For years I have experimented with different pickup configurations, trying to find the perfect balance between tone and aggressiveness. In a recent studio session, I played a classic guitar loaded with EMG 81s, plugged into a Krankenstein + and a classic old cab loaded with 25 watt speakers. After the first few takes, I smiled as it had become clear that I could never go back to passive pickups. Zakk Wylde, Woff Hoffmann, Andy Sneap, James Hetfield, and David Gilmore have all used EMG pickups to produced some of the greatest guitar tones in the history of Rock and Roll. I am honored to now be a part of that family.” – Rich Ward

    Stuart Hamm – Joe Satraini

Through his innovative work as a solo artist and his contributions as a sideman to Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, Stuart Hamm has firmly established himself as one of the most influential electric bassists of the past half-century. Extending the non-traditional function of the electric bass previously revolutionized by Jaco Pastorius and Stanley Clarke in the 1970s, Hamm helped to reshape the contemporary concept of the bass guitar as an unaccompanied instrument with the utilization of polyphonic, two-handed tapping, slapping and popping techniques, chords, and harmonics.

Stu’s new pickups of choice are the new EMG JVX jazz set combined with the EMG PX precession and a EMG BTC Control for EQ.

    Marlon Williams – Snoop Dogg

Like many musicians before him, Billy Preston, Bootsy Collins, whom were discovered in and pulled from churches into the secular music industry, it was no different for producer, songwriter, and guitarist Marlon Williams. His sound was catching the ears of producers. It didn’t take long for him to start playing in sessions with Ray Charles, Bone Thugs ‘N’ Harmony and Ice Cube plus many more leading to a 12 year old recording and touring relation with Snoop Dogg and has been with him ever since.

Marlon is using our new X Series including the 81X and 85X Chrome humbuckers.

    Vernon Reid – Living Colour

EMG to bring long time EMG player Vernon Reid to the roster! We’re all big fans of Vernon’s playing at EMG and are happy to be working with him and US Music on his signature Parker “Dragonfly” DF824VR guitar loaded with the EMG SAX/SAX/81X combination.

Founding member of the band Living Colour, Reid’s rampant eclecticism encompasses everything from heavy metal and punk to funk, R&B and avant-garde jazz, and his anarchic, lightning-fast solos have become something of a hallmark.

Driver Williams – Eric Church Band

Leaving sweat and whiskey-soaked stages in his wake, this 27-year-old Nashville native has a decade's worth of professional guitar work under his belt. In 2005 Driver was tapped by Eric Church, a new artist and celebrated country songwriter on Capital Records to play guitar in his road band and is still with him to date. Recently Driver contributed numerous guitar tracks to Eric’s forthcoming album “Carolina”, and penned a cut on the album with Eric as a co-writer.

"EMG gives me complete tonal versatility. Whether I'm turnin' it to eleven (81 and 85) or playing country ballads (60 and the passive HZs), EMG pickups shape the core of my sound." - Driver Williams

Driver uses EMG 81 and 85 models in his guitars.
