When I was given the rare opportunity to present a detailed proposal that might make my dream of doing a full scale national educational clinic tour a reality I was thrilled. I was thinking of all the bassists out there everywhere when I requested a huge list of promotional prizes to Warwick owner (and my dear friend) Hans Peter Wilfer, the entire promotion and all the gifts I requested totaled well over $40,000 in retail value. When he said to me “Yes lets do it” I nearly cried, tears of joy first because I have worked towards this for many years. Then I nearly cried because I realized what I had just signed on for, and the amount of work I had in front of me. I will visit 19 states, I will travel alone by car most of the time, reaching all four corners of the USA from Boston to Orlando and Seattle to San Diego. So it’s a dream come true for me to be able to expand my educational reach and we all owe Hans Peter Wilfer a huge thanks for giving my clinic tour wings. He is that dedicated to building valued Warwick players, and to reaching out to the many loyal players with gifts who are already in the Warwick family. Warwick’s level of passion and quality is second to none and Hans Peter Wilfer is the coolest!!!! AndyIrvine Early 2012, Warwick will launch “The Sound Of Bass” Clinic Tour featuring Andy Irvine, an interactive, educational series visiting 25 select music stores across the country. Musicians of all ages and levels are encouraged to become apart of these unique events to learn useful techniques and trends in bass playing. Regardless of your instrument, Andy’s musicianship concepts and experience can benefit all. Each clinic will feature workshops on playing techniques, music business tools, useful insight on touring, session work, interaction with other musicians, and the importance of quality gear.
The clinic lasts approximately 90 minutes, and all are FREE to attend. Get there early! During each clinic, all participants will be entered to win awesome grand prizes including (1) Warwick bass and (1) Warwick BC40 combo amp! Additional FREE door prizes will include hundreds of sets of Warwick bass strings, t-shirts, hats, stickers! and many cool gifts from EMG.
