Easy Instalation, Great Sound

Okay, don’t laugh, I bought a Cozart twelve string Strat copy on eBay for 75 dollars. It plays well and I really like it, but hooking it up to an amp it was painful to listen to. So I started looking for ways to improve it. I came across EMG ST-11 at the Guitar Center web site. I did a little research on EMG pickups and most were favorable. I watched the installation video on the EMG site and it looked easy enough. For my installation it took a little trimming around the neck area and some re-drilling for the cover holes. It was really easy to install. I was expecting to do a little of this since it was a Strat copy and not a real Strat. After the hooking it up to my amp I was impressed by the quality of sound I was hearing. It was a totally different and better sound that the original pickups. So if you have a Strat copy that sounds terrible and you’re looking for a way to improve it dramatically, this is an economical answer.
