AWESOME SOUND

Tenebrion /Reviewed 4/6/2014

This is a great pickup, my first time to own an active pickup and I have to say couldn't choose better,it sounds great in my Agile Interceptor 725 which is mahogany maple neck, great combination with the 57-7H, looks awesome and fierce and the sounds even better thanks EMG for making quality products.

My Favorite.

Tyler /Reviewed 12/27/2013

I really love this pickup! I was super curious about it when it first hit the market. In comparison to the 81, it is still just as capable of metal but has a much warmer and more saturated sound. It's less (for lack of a better term) "ice picky" I'm inclined to say its a bit rounder but still retains clear note definition. Cleans are great. No clipping like you get on a traditional 81. My only two complaints are that you will find some small bits of epoxy around the pole pieces(this is inevitable given the method of shielding against micro-phonics) which is minimally noticeable, and they are a bit pricey, but worth it IMO. Not to mention EMG's awesome customer service. Great pickup!
