Stephen Carpenter Deftones

Stephen Carpenter is the co-founder, lead guitarist of the rock band Deftones. His guitar technique makes use of both ringing open strings and dissonant chord voicings and stock power chords.He has a number of ESP/LTD signature guitar models in production, both in six, seven string and baritone models featuring the EMG-707. Carpenter also uses a new 8-String guitar built for him by ESP featuring the EMG-808X.
