As a top call freelance side man/session musician Irvine spends a great deal of time performing on the road and in the studio with various artists covering a wide range of styles. Andy is currently touring and performing live with: Mississippi based piano virtuoso Eden Brent, Colorado based blues Duo, The Jelly Roll Bakers, and his own Andy Irvine Group. His history also includes national touring with such groups as On The One, Giant People and founding the south Florida "futuristic groove trio" Beanstalk. Andy has contributed his solid bass and electric guitar work to 40 albums with national and international artists ranging from legendary cult troubadour Tiny Tim to the intense and bazaar shock rocker GG Allin thus far in his career.

Andy recently recorded all the bass parts for the new Synthesis album with multi-platinum artist DJ Rap. The Synthesis album is being released internationally in May 2010 on the Ministry Of Sound label.Irvine was featured in an interview/article on soloing in the March 2009 issue of Bass Player Magazine, the magazine refers to him as a "soloist sensation". He is a dedicated educator of music and is currently presenting concert clinics nationally with the support of his sponsors:EMG Pickups,SWR Amps, Spector Basses, Stratage Electric Guitars, Black Diamond Strings and Excetylene Pro Audio.2010 will find Irvine presenting upwards of 30 bass clinics nation wide.Irvine presented 13 concert clinics nationally in 2009 and appeared on behalf of Spector basses at the Bass Player Live event held in LA Oct 2009.At BPL he gave two performances." He enlisted a host of talented musicians from all corners of the USA to contribute their skills including Drummer John Staten (OTO & KDTU).The sound of Soul Clap can be best described as a super funky blend of instrumental rock, jazz, and soul music.In Oct 2009 Irvine embarked on the recording of his second album entitled “Fever Pitch” slated for release in June 2010. Sessions are taking place in Los Angeles CA, Memphis TN, Rochester NY, Denver CO, and Tampa FL. The 12 song collection features Andy both on bass and electric guitars throughout, the addition of vocals, and a shift into heavy rock, pop, and modern dance music. Again he has enlisted many outstanding musicians and producers from around the nation to contribute to the Fever Pitch album.
