Paul DiLeo/ Nena, Billy Joel, Enrique Iglesias, FOZZY, Adrenaline Mob
Currently, Paul has been touring and recording with international superstar Nena and FOZZY. Paul has been a member with Nena since 2001. While working with international superstar Nena, he has received (2) platinum and (3) gold records, including those that he was awarded as a one of the co-writers of Nena’s “Willst du mit mir gehen” CD.
Nena’s latest release, “Made in Germany” went GOLD in April during the “Made in Germany tour” 2010.
In 2011, Paul joins Adrenaline Mob. The members include, Mike Portnoy, Russell Allen, Rich Ward & Mike Orlando. Paul finished the recording of Adrenaline Mob (EP, 2011) & (CD, 2012) Omerta. Paul then resigned along with Rich Ward, late October 2011 from Adrenaline Mob to join forces with Rich Ward & Chris Jericho in “FOZZY”. Paul has just completed recording the new Fozzy CD titled “Sin and Bones” on Century Media Records, for August 14th 2012 release. The single from Fozzy’s “Sin and Bones” release is titled “Sand Paper” featuring special guest Avenged Sevenfold’s lead singer M. Shadows. Fozzy begins their 2012 USA tour (Uproar festival) in August with headliner “Shine Down”.
Paul has also performed and recorded with various artists including, Billy Joel, Paul Simon, Carly Simon, Nena, Lauryn Hill, Joe Lynn Turner, Steve Gadd, Howard Jones, Kim Wilde, Enrique Iglesias, Ace Frehley, Toots Thieleman, Kathie Lee Gifford, M-People, Sandi Saraya, Mitch Malloy, Adrenaline Mob & Fozzy, to name a few.
From the first day Paul picked up a bass at age 12, friends and family noticed that the lefty had his own approach to the instrument –literally upside down and backwards – (left handed bass, strung right handed). It soon became apparent that his unorthodox approach to playing the instrument would in no way slow down this determined players progress and Paul Di Leo went on to become one of the best players in his local NY/NJ scene and eventually to international success with some of the world’s finest artists.
Paul spends his time touring, recording, composing, producing, and mixing for local and National artists from his home area of NJ/NY.
